Treasures of Demetra Food and Wine Tour in Langhe and the Ligurian Riviera

Treasures of Demetra offers a wonderful opportunity to discover culinary traditions, excellent food products and outstanding wines with a Food and Wine Tour in the Langhe and on the Ligurian Riviera.

Awaiting you is a journey through the most fascinating places in the Langhe and the Riviera of Flowers. Come along and discover for yourself the most magical spots in two areas that are so rich and abundant in history and tradition, where you will see stunning scenery and find cuisine that is so delicious and so authentic.

The Langhe and Roero are a hilly area where you will be amazed by the intensity and range of the colors on view thanks to the vegetation, both wild and cultivated. On the hilltops there are ancient towns and villages, dominated by magnificent fortress strongholds, or by high church bell towers. Panoramic views and gastronomy are the two major attractions of this vast and wonderful area which is so proud of its wine production. There is also something very special to be found in the little woods in the hills: mushrooms, aromatic herbs and, above all, truffles, which characterize the local cuisine.

You will then continue your journey, following the sea breezes, to the Riviera Ponente, a treasure chest of excitement, tastes and colors. The sea sparkles with the stunningly clear light and the waves that crash onto the rocks have a deep emerald hue. The gentle hills looking out over the sea are covered in olive trees which filter the warm Riviera sunshine with their delicate foliage. In this way the olives ripen gently before being gathered to produce the “gold” of the Riviera, the excellent extra virgin olive oil which is fundamental to so much that is delicious from the area.
