The Langhe and the Roero are undulating, lively territories made fascinating by the play of colours created by the spontaneous vegetation and cultivation. On the hills are ancient villages, dominated by glorious fortresses and high bell towers. Scenery and gastronomy are the two main attractions of this vast and marvellous territory, proud of its wine production wine. Mushrooms, truffles and aromatic herbs are the pride and joy of the local cuisine.
On your journey you will be transported by the breeze marine to the Riviera Ligure di Ponente, a small treasure trove of scents, flavours and colours. The sea with its light sparkling shines with every wave. The slopes of the Alps overlooking the sea, with their olive groves, filter the warm beams of the Riviera sun through their branches: they produce the excellent extra virgin olive oil, the gold genuine basis of local delicacies.

DAY 1
Arrival in Alba in the late afternoon and check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 2: Scents and Flavors of the Langhe
In the morning, guided tour of the historic center of Alba, the capital of the Langhe and also known as the city of a hundred towers. Nestled among vineyard-covered hills, Alba boasts over a thousand years of history, with a medieval core featuring numerous towers and Romanesque-Gothic monuments, such as its imposing cathedral.
Next, transfer to Valle Talloria d’Alba for a scenic Barolo wine tour. Along the way, you’ll enjoy the landscapes dotted with magnificent castles and meticulously cultivated vineyards.
Tasting at a local winery to sample some of Piedmont’s finest wines, paired with traditional local specialties.
In the afternoon, visit the fortress of Serralunga Castle, imposing and evocative, located in a panoramic spot around which the ancient and well-preserved medieval village unfolds. The castle was conquered in 1616 and later by the Spanish. Now state-owned, it was restored in 1950 at the initiative of President Luigi Einaudi.
Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
DAY 3: Between the Alps and the Sea, Heading to the Riviera dei Fiori
This day offers both the charm of the Langhe and the beauty of the Ligurian coast.
In the morning, stop in the cheerful town of Sinio, about 30 minutes from Alba, to visit an artisanal nougat factory. You’ll witness the traditional production process and tour the facility. The nougat, a local delicacy, is the perfect sweet start to your day. A shop is also available for purchases.
Free time for lunch.
Continue to Finale Ligure to visit the ancient medieval village of Finalborgo, still enclosed within its original walls. The area also offers excellent shopping opportunities.
In the late afternoon, transfer to Sanremo and check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 4: The Riviera di Ponente, Festival of Olives and Flowers
In the morning, transfer to Imperia for a visit to the Olive Tree Museum (closed on Sundays). Winner of the European Museum of the Year Award in 1993 under the patronage of the Council of Europe, it’s located in the heart of Oneglia, a port town with a millennia-old olive oil tradition. The museum recreates historical environments dedicated to olive oil production. You can also visit the modern facility and shop on-site.
Continue to a modern olive mill to learn about the latest technologies in automation and quality control that contribute to the excellence of Riviera extra virgin olive oil.
A tasting of local specialties will be offered on-site.
In the afternoon, visit the city of Sanremo to explore its artistic and historical treasures. Begin with Villa Ormond, originally built by the Rambaldi family and sold in 1887 to the Parisian Ormonds. The garden, filled with plants from around the world—including the Canary Islands, Japan, Tasmania, China, California, and Brazil—offers a vibrant global botanical display.
Nearby, you can also visit Villa Nobel, the final residence of Swedish scientist Alfred Nobel. Surrounded by a beautiful park featuring ornamental pavilions and statues, the villa has been completely restored and transformed into a museum. Inside, you’ll find memorabilia, scientific instruments, Nobel’s laboratory, and the very room where he wrote his famous will that established the Nobel Prizes.
Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
DAY 5
Departure after breakfast.
