The Langhe and the Roero are undulating, lively territories made fascinating by the play of colours created by the spontaneous vegetation and cultivation. On the hills are ancient villages, dominated by glorious fortresses and high bell towers. Scenery and gastronomy are the two main attractions of this vast and marvellous territory, proud of its wine production wine. Mushrooms, truffles and aromatic herbs are the pride and joy of the local cuisine.
On your journey you will be transported by the breeze marine to the Riviera Ligure di Ponente, a small treasure trove of scents, flavours and colours. The sea with its light sparkling shines with every wave. The slopes of the Alps overlooking the sea, with their olive groves, filter the warm beams of the Riviera sun through their branches: they produce the excellent extra virgin olive oil, the gold genuine basis of local delicacies.

1° DAY
Arrive in Alba in the late afternoon with accommodation in a hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
2° DAY: Fragrances and flavours of the Langhe
In the morning visit guided of the historic centre of Alba, the capital of the Langhe, Alba also known as the city of a hundred towers. The city, nestled between the wine-growing hills that form its amphitheatre, is steeped in a history more than millennial, with a historic centre of medieval structure where there are numerous towers and Romanesque-Gothic monuments, such as the imposing cathedral.
Then transfer to Valle Talloria d’Alba where an evocative Barolo Route awaits you. The landscapes will be the backdrop to your journey, you will admire the beauty of the substantial castles and vineyards cured.
Tasting at a local winery to sample the great Piedmontese wines, accompanied by some typical local specialities.
In the afternoon, you will continue your visit to the Stronghold Castle of Serralunga, an imposing and evocative castle, around which the intact and ancient medieval village winds in a wonderful panoramic position. The castle was conquered in 1616 and was later taken by the Spanish. Now owned by the Italian State, in 1950 it was restored by the President of the Republic Luigi Einaudi.
Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
3rd DAY: Between the Alps and the sea, towards the Riviera dei Fiori
This day will allow you to experience moments exciting in one of the most typical localities of the Langhe, and to finish, you will immerse yourself in the beautiful historic of one of the most characteristic localities of the Riviera.
In the morning, stop in the charming village of Sinio, located about 30 minutes from Alba. A visit awaits you at a nougat factory artisanal to watch the production of nougat and visit the factory. Nougat, considered one of the local products, will allow you to start your day in sweetness. At the end of the visit you can visit the adjacent shop for your purchases.
Free lunch.
Continue to Finale Ligure where you will visit the ancient medieval village of Finalborgo, still enclosed in its ancient walls, will also offer you interesting shopping opportunities.
In the late afternoon transfer to Sanremo and accommodation at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
4° DAY: The Riviera di Ponente, the festival of olives and flowers
In the morning transfer to Imperia, where you will visit the Museo dell’Olivo (closed on Sundays). Won the European Museum of the Year award in 1993, under the patronage of the Council of Europe, the museum is located in the heart of Oneglia, an oil port with a millennial tradition. You will visit the rooms of the museum where the characteristic environments linked to oil production have been recreated. After immersing yourself in history, you can also visit the modern plant and go shopping in the adjacent shop.
Transfer for a visit to a modern frantoio that will allow you to discover the most advanced technological criteria related both to the automation of the departments and to quality control, which make the extra virgin olive oil of the Riviera special.
Following this, a degustation of local specialities will be offered on site.
In the afternoon you will continue your visit to the city of Sanremo to appreciate the artistic beauty of the city of flowers. Villa Ormond, built by the Rambaldi family of San Remo, later sold to the Ormond family of Paris in 1887. The plants that colour the garden come from all over the world: from the Canary Islands to Japan, from Tasmania to China, from California to Brazil.
Nearby it is possible to visit the garden and interior of Villa Nobel, the last residence of the Swedish scientist Alfred Nobel, surrounded by a beautiful park with a rich collection of pavilions and ornamental statues. It has recently been fully restored and converted into a museum, where it is possible to visit a collection of the scientist’s memorabilia and equipment, his laboratory and the flat where he wrote the famous testament that gave rise to the award of the same name.
Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
5° DAY
Departure after breakfast.
