EXPERIENTIAL PACKAGE
“Nature Tour in Liguria and the French Riviera“
(4 days – 3 nights)
DAY 1
Arrival in the afternoon, check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 2: The gardens of Sanremo and Bordighera
In the morning, transfer to Sanremo to visit the park of Villa Ormond, a splendid botanical garden designed in the French style of the late 19th century. The plants that color the garden come from all over the world: from the Canary Islands to Japan, from Tasmania to China, from California to Brazil.
Free lunch.
In the afternoon, transfer to Bordighera: just before the Punta Migliarese tunnel, a steep rocky slope overlooking the sea appears, with terraces and ledges covered in magnificent plants. This is the exotic Pallanca Garden, a spectacular natural monument created by the descendants of Bartolomeo Pallanca. There are 3,200 plant species, including a prized collection of cacti—the most important in Italy and one of the most significant in Europe.
Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 3: The gardens of Menton
In the morning, transfer to Menton to visit the Val Rahmeh garden: created in 1905 by Lord Radcliffe, today it serves as a Mediterranean observatory for the French National Museum of Natural History and houses an exceptional collection of exotic plants.
Free lunch.
Next, you can visit the enchanting Serre de la Madone. Designed between 1919 and 1939 by Major Lawrence Johnston, the garden contains an exceptional botanical collection and is a remarkable example of landscape architecture, with ponds and fountains that create a calm and sheltered atmosphere.
Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 4
In the morning, before departure, you can enjoy shopping at one of the Riviera’s local garden centers.
