In the morning, visit to the Olive Museum (closed on Sundays), including the modern factory and adjacent shop of the Fratelli Carli company in Imperia. Winner of the European Museum of the Year Award in 1993 under the patronage of the Council of Europe, the museum is located in the heart of Oneglia, a traditional olive oil port with a thousand-year history.

After the visit, continuation to Porto Maurizio, known for its old historic center perched on the promontory called Parasio, with its Cathedral Square (Piazza del Duomo), overlooked by the Collegio Palace and the Questura building. Don’t miss the visit to the Logge di Santa Chiara and the adjacent convent of the same name, founded in 1365 and still inhabited today by cloistered Poor Clare nuns.

Return to the hotel for lunch and a short siesta.

In the mid-afternoon, an engaging Ligurian cooking class awaits you.

The class will introduce you to an endless source of specialties tied to local culinary traditions. Among the dishes prepared by the chefs, you will enjoy *panissa*, a kind of polenta made with chickpea flour, *barbagiuai*, fried dumplings filled with pumpkin and ricotta, and finally one of the sweetest delicacies: *stroscia*, a dessert made with extra virgin olive oil, wine, flour, and sugar. At the end of the class, a dinner will be offered featuring a tasting of the dishes prepared.
