\nDAY 2: Modern Art Gallery of Nervi<\/strong><\/summary>\n

Your morning will be dedicated to visiting the Modern Art Gallery of Nervi, an old villa housing over 3,000 mostly regional works. One of the many rooms features late 19th-century Impressionist artworks.<\/p>\n

Lunch at your leisure.<\/p>\n

In the afternoon, transfer to Sanremo, check-in at the hotel, and dinner. After dinner, we suggest a stroll along the seaside promenade of the beautiful City of Flowers.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n

\nDAY 3: The Journey of Great Painters in the Ligurian Riviera<\/strong><\/summary>\n

After breakfast, transfer to Dolceacqua and visit this splendid medieval village at the mouth of the Nervia Valley, not far from the French border. It is divided into two parts connected by a medieval bridge. The older part features tall, narrow houses along winding alleys clustered around the monumental Doria family castle.<\/p>\n

The dramatic scenery of the castle ruins and the medieval bridge was captured by Monet during his stay on the Riviera. The flatter, more open part of the village hosts artisan shops, characteristic restaurants, and fragrant cellars where you can taste *Rossese* wine, a typical and exclusive local product.<\/p>\n

At lunchtime, you\u2019ll enjoy a tasting of local wines and typical products in a nearby winery.<\/p>\n

In the afternoon, continue to Bordighera to visit two of the most iconic Belle \u00c9poque villa-museums. Villa Regina Margherita, built for the Queen of Italy, was restored in 2011 and now houses a valuable museum with 18th- and 19th-century Italian and European artworks and furnishings.<\/p>\n

After walking through the historic center of Bordighera, you\u2019ll reach Villa Pompeo Mariani. Follow in Monet\u2019s footsteps\u2014he painted three works in the villa’s garden\u2014and visit the enchanting atelier of painter Pompeo Mariani, a contemporary and friend of the Impressionist master.<\/p>\n

Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n

\nDAY 4: Great 20th-Century Painters of the French Riviera<\/strong><\/summary>\n

In the morning, transfer to Nice and visit the famous Matisse Museum, housed in a Genoese-style villa in the Cimiez district. It celebrates the long residence of the French artist with an exceptional collection of 68 paintings and hundreds of drawings, books, and photographs. Nearby, the Chagall Museum, opened in 1966 and created by the Russian-born artist himself, displays his most evocative work: seventeen large-scale biblical-themed paintings.<\/p>\n

Lunch at your leisure.<\/p>\n

Transfer to Cagnes-sur-Mer to visit the home of the great Impressionist master Pierre-Auguste Renoir. The artist moved to the French Riviera in 1908 and built this Proven\u00e7al-style villa, where he found inspiration in the light and colors of the Mediterranean.
