From here, continue to Bajardo, a paradise among pine trees where the medieval village overlooks the Nervia river basin, offering visitors a stunning view of the Maritime Alps.<\/p>\n The route continues to Apricale, an ancient and picturesque fortified medieval village perched on a hill overlooking the Merdanzo valley. Its name derives from the Latin word \u201capricus,\u201d meaning \u201cexposed to the sun.\u201d<\/p>\n On the return route, the final stop is Isolabona: a village built in a grid layout between two streams. To enter, you must cross a bridge that, after passing under a small arch between the first houses, leads into a square featuring a remarkable octagonal stone fountain dating back to 1486.<\/p>\n Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n In the morning, after breakfast, the second day of the tour begins, starting and ending in Ventimiglia.
