“Food & Wine Fair in Imperia“
(3 days – 2 nights)
DAY 1
Arrival in the afternoon and check-in at the hotel.
For dinner, we will reserve a table for you at a prestigious local restaurant, where you can enjoy the aromas and flavors of Ligurian cuisine.
Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
DAY 2: Imperia
In the morning, transfer to Imperia Oneglia for a visit to the event “Olioliva – Festival of New Olive Oil”, where you can taste and purchase typical products of the Riviera displayed along the city streets. You can also follow ancient paths leading to the port’s first fish market, the local fish shops, and restaurants.
Throughout the day, you may attend talks by experts on extra virgin olive oil and local specialties, as well as take part in educational activities, including olive oil tasting workshops.
Lunch in a typical local restaurant where you’ll enjoy Ligurian specialties.
In the afternoon, transfer to the inland of Imperia to visit a traditional olive mill, where you’ll witness the art of pressing the renowned Taggiasca olives.
Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
DAY 3: The Hinterland of Imperia
In the morning, transfer to the valleys of the Imperia hinterland, where you can take part in various activities offered by the festival, including cooking classes led by expert local chefs, and visits to farms and traditional olive mills.
Lunch at your leisure.
If you choose to extend your stay during the week, a visit to the historic Risso soap factory in Oneglia can be booked. There, you’ll discover how soaps and beauty products are made from olive oil.
