An excursion to Genoa, to discover the grandeur of the ancient Maritime Republic, with the history of its grand Baroque Palaces and the modern architecture of the Old Port, now the vibrant heart of the city.

  • Transfer via highway from Sanremo (140 km – approx. 1h30′).
  • Stop at the Old Port, entirely restored based on a project by architect Renzo Piano for the 1992 Columbus celebrations.
  • Visit to the Genoa Aquarium, the largest in Europe, where the environments of the seven seas are recreated—and where you can even touch the fish!
  • In the Old Port area, you can also visit the Galata Sea Museum, inaugurated in 2004, and the splendid Palazzo del Principe of Andrea Doria.
  • A visit to the historic center is also highly recommended, with must-see stops at the opulent Royal Palace and Doge’s Palace, as well as the Museums of Strada Nuova, known as the Palazzi dei Rolli, now part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
  • Return via highway.
