3rd DAY: Monte Carlo and the Oceanographic Museum
In the morning transfer to the Prince of Monaco for a visit to the famous Oceanographic Museum. Inaugurated in 1910 by its founder Prince Albert I, this exceptional museum, dedicated to all the sciences of the sea, houses numerous species of preserved marine animals and models of ships and equipment used by the pioneers of ocean exploration.
The Aquarium offers visitors the fascinating spectacle of an exuberant marine fauna and flora. Rare species of fish from the most distant seas dart around in 90 tanks fed directly by sea water. You can then continue your visit to the Rocca, the Principality’s old town, where you can stroll among the craftsmen’s workshops and small shops and visit the beautiful cathedral dedicated to St. Nicolas, built in 1875 in white Turbie stone, and watch the traditional changing of the guard in front of the Prince’s Palace.
