The gastronomic treasures of the Ligurian Riviera

(4 days – 3 nights)

1° DAY

Arrival in the afternoon with accommodation in hotel and overnight stay.

2° DAY: City of Oil

In the morning we transfer to Imperia to visit the Isnardi company, which has been bottling its extra-virgin olive oil as it comes out of the mill since 1908. Inside you will have the opportunity to see an ancient blood press and a water press, as well as an old pharmacy with a rare collection of oil jars.
At lunchtime we will offer you a tasting of typical products.
In the afternoon, visit to the Firm Raineri, founded in 1910, where you will be able to watch the various stages in the production of “cold-pressed” extra-virgin olive oil.
Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

3° DAY: Nervia Valley, lands of the Rossese

In the morning we travel to Dolceacqua, the pearl of the Nervia Valley: a delightful medieval village, embellished by an ancient humpback bridge and the ruins of the Doria castle. Here, amidst the artisan workshops, you can discover the true nectar of the Riviera: the Rossese of Dolceacqua, a prized red wine with an intense flavour.
At lunchtime, visit the Gajaudo family winery, where you can taste the full range of Riviera wines, accompanied by delicious specialities of the valley.
In the afternoon, visit to the ancient medieval village of Apricale, perched with its carruggi on the alpine slopes, where you can enjoy the oldest Ligurian snack: zabaglione with pansarole, small lies covered in icing sugar.
Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

4° DAY: Imperia and its historical centre.

In the morning transfer to Porto Maurizio, characterised by its old historic centre perched on the promontory called Parasio, with the Piazza del Duomo, overlooked by the Palazzo del Collegio and the Palazzo della Questura. Not to be missed is a visit to the Logge di Santa Chiara and the adjoining convent of the same name, founded in 1365 and still inhabited by cloistered Poor Clare nuns.
